"On Monday, January 17, 2000, at 12:25 a.m., R.B. happened to look out his
window and saw something strange in the sky over Fairhaven, Massachusetts
(population 15,759). "A ball of light appeared out of nowhere over the
Acushnet River north of (Interstate) Highway I-195. The ball looked confused.
It moved erratically, then shot away to the north and vanished into a closing
mist." "It seemed like it knew I was watching it." "If there's anybody out
there from the (Massachusetts) Southcoast who saw it, please report it to as
many (Web) sites as you can." Fairhaven is located on the east bank of the
Acushnet River, approximately 4 miles (6 kilometers) from New Bedford and
about 40 miles (64 kilometers) south of Boston. (Email Form Report)"

Investigator Joseph Trainor writes, "...at 10:15 p.m., eyewitness Michele
N. glanced through a window of her home in New Bedford, Massachusetts
(population 100,000) and spotted a UFO passing slowly over the neighborhood.
"It was a circular object with a red flashing light," she reported, "I had it
in sight for several minutes." According to the witness, the large disc-shaped
UFO came from the south over Mount Hope Bay. Crossing the shoreline, it flew
northward over Brockton Park and Tramline Hill, moving roughly parallel to
Ashley Boulevard, before it went out of sight. New Bedford, a prominent
whaling port in the early Nineteenth Century, is located 58 miles south of
Boston." Source: UFO Roundup Vol. 5 #6 2/10/00

Peter Davenport of the National UFO Reporting Center received the following
report: "I was traveling south at 5:15 AM, when I saw a bright light off to
the west. I traveled for three miles on Route 95 watching the strange light
when something told me to pull over into the breakdown lane to watch. A flying
triangle passed overhead just ahead of my truck and I noticed its lights were
not setup like a normal planes. There were eight yellow/white lights. One was
one on each of the three corners. Two were in the front side by side, three at
the bottom middle side by side, and several across the back. Two blue strobe
lights were at the middle rear of the craft. As it passed in front of my
truck, I rolled down the window but could hear no sound. This craft was as
large as my hand at arm's length. A jet plane at this height would have been
very loud, but there was no noise. The triangle traveled about ten miles in
about two minutes (300 mph) from Route 1A in Walpole to Route 138
Stoughton."

The witness submitted this report: "I'm a 15 year old boy who lives in
Massachusetts. I had a ufo sighting last night (May 20 2000). I was siting
online talking to my friends and I got up to close my shades in my room (It
was about 11 at night) when out of the corner of my eye I caught a bright
flashing object in the sky. I Looked towards it and it was a black saucer
shaped object. It had a slick shiny look to it. Around it were lights going
around in a clock wise way. In a circle surrounding the ship almost as if the
lights were floating. I called my sister in to make sure i wasnt hallucinating
and she saw it too! Then all of a sudden it closed up and flashed red and
disappeared."

Peter Fleming reported this sighting to an internet newsgroup: "At the risk
of sounding like a kook, I feel I'm obligated to report the following recent
sighting of what certainly appeared to be a UFO. I live in the North Shore
town of Revere, Massachusetts. I can see Revere Beach and the Atlantic Ocean
from my home. On Tuesday night, June 20, 2000 from approximately 10 pm to
10:15 pm, I observed the following: As I looked west out of my 3rd floor
living room window, I saw a luminous disk with central dome on the top--a
stereotypical "flying saucer"--moving slowly in the sky north by northeast in
a large arc heading both north and towards the Atlantic Ocean. I grabbed a
pair of binoculars I had handy and focused on this strange object for as long
as I could. The object was moving more slowly than a plane/jet for I could see
the light from such an aircraft in the near vicinity of this object (Logan
International Airport is nearby) moving more rapidly than this object. Through
the binoculars this UFO appeared in the disc-with-dome shape mentioned. It
appeared luminous or "glowing" as if illuminated from within. The overall
color of this object was a luminous tan color. It did not appear to be
rotating about its own axis. Rectangular "windows" appeared round about the
dome where it touched the disc. Tiny lights, red, white, green, yellow, etc.
appeared to be flashing on & off all over the object's outer surface, not
all simultaneously, but selectively like a programmed Christmas tree light
array. I focused on this object as long as I could but it disapeared from my
view soon after it moved over the spotlights from the Wonderland dog track
north of my home. This object appeared majestically beautiful in its
polychromatic luminence and surreal slow motion in the sky. It was not a
helicoptor, not a balloon, not a plane or jet. It was, literally, a UFO.
Subjectively, my intuition was of a tremendous concentration of energy, of
"excitement" so to speak, located in that moving craft. To my astonishment, no
mention by others of this sighting was recorded next day in the media. Hence,
the especial importance of this posting to your newsgroup. I would especially
appreciate if some knowledgeable reader of this post would forward this
information to the appropriate department. I would also love to hear of
corroborating observations by other North Shore MA citizens of this
phenomenon."

The witness was out walking his dog near downtown Springfield, Massachusetts, at 6:30 P.M., just after dusk. The following is the account of this sighting in his own words:
"I was outback of my place near downtown Springfield, MA alone with my dog. No one else was walking the streets during those moments. It was near the end of dusk, the sky being dark bluish, with the brighter stars starting to be seen. The sky was clear with a bright crescent moon one quarter full in the southern sky approx 45 degrees south of my vertical, not a factor in my sighting due to perhaps a 90-120 degree separation between the moon and the object I saw.
"I was outside perhaps 5 minutes before happening to look up, where I saw what looked like a Mars or Venus-sized white stationary star-like object deep in space, then within 4-7 seconds it suddenly grew 2-3 times brighter (looking like Jupiter or Saturn's closest passes to the earth), and then it seemed to get much closer to earth, this for approx 2 seconds, then, the white light almost instantaneously grew again in size to become approx 1/10th of the moon's radius and it gave off a circular-shaped spot light effect that seemed to almost beam down in my general direction (there was a slight elliptical change in the perfect circle of light that had a beam-like effect, barely visible to me, but very much there) and/or area of the city, some five blocks from downtown, that was comparable to the beam effect from a lighthouse or ground-based spotlight, only this was beaming downward in my general direction from perhaps 1-4 miles overhead, maintaining a static geo-stationary position in the lower atmosphere.
"What was particularly odd to me was how far away the object was when I first noticed it and how quickly it came to be so visibly large and close, never moving laterally in any direction (N,S,E,W). Its outer white light border was comparable to the moon's clean, crisp border, but made of bright, solid white light. The object and it's white beaming circular light focused downward for several seconds, never wavering in intensity or size.
"Then, just as suddenly, it shrunk in size in reverse order, loosing it's intensity as it seemed to move directly upward and away from my position to an altitude that seemed to be at least several miles higher, then the white light, approx 1/5th its former maximum size and intensity, angled off approx 30-40 degrees to the right and away from my position and faded out, leaving a noticeably short, white-to-blue light streak whose tail was comet-like in appearance.
"What remained was an equally odd light-blue/dark-blue almost two-dimensional area filled with what looked more like a hazy, water-ripple halo effect which seemed to move in the same approx direction as the blur of light (the object) did. Within 5-7 seconds the halo effect was gone. The strangest part of this halo effect was how the white blur (the object moving quickly away) immediately preceded the halo effect, whose elliptical shape slowly followed the blur's direction of exit before fading out after several seconds.
"I was transfixed on the entire 15 second (approx) event and witnessed it in it's entirety, and waited for perhaps 20 minutes after the event just in case something else might occur, but nothing did. I am an 18 year (reference deleted at request of witness) veteran and consider myself a scientist with an engineering background, a geology background, a life-long interest in space and the ultimate questions of our time. I have lived in western Europe for several years. My analytical abilities and skills are well developed. But in all my years and experiences, I have never once been witness to an event that could not be explained in known terms, technically or naturally. To my knowledge, no government on earth has the technology to create effects such as these."

"I was driving two friends home. None of us had been drinking, and my friends are very skeptical about UFO's. We were driving down a road that is used often in the daytime, but during late-night hours, it is very deserted. There were no houses on the stretch we were on. There is a hospital facility nearby, but not close enough to provide lighting on the road. There were no streetlights in that particular spot.
We all saw three green circle-shaped lights flying in a triangular formation. I initially thought it was a small aircraft about to crash. I slammed on the brakes, because it seemed dangerously close to my car. I was very frightened by it. Then, the object disappeared. Reluctantly, I, at the request of my friends, tried to locate what we had seen, but there was no sign of it. I am still frightened by what I saw."

"MASSACHUSETTS THREE DISCS SIGHTED
BECKET - Peter Davenport is filing this report on behalf of four eye witnesses who observed three dish shaped crafts with lights. This report is reflecting what the caller stated: Three dish shaped disks with lights were noticed through a picture window on February 27, 2001. The color of the lights started as white then changed to red. They were hovering over a pond and chasing each other in the sky. The police were notified and came to the scene, just as the crafts left. The officer stated he did not see the crafts. However the caller stated, "She saw the officer turn off his lights and back up on the road near her driveway near the pond." So it is likely he saw them. The caller stated that she saw these crafts on other occasions. Thanks to National Reporting Center www.ufocenter.com."
George Filer reported this sighting in his electronic newsletter, Filer's Files, in issue #30-2000. "An anonymous caller notified me that he had observed numerous bright orbs twenty miles west of the city. . . The sun was setting in the western sky around 8:00 PM, when he and his son noticed a series of bright lights heading toward him. The lights were in a rough V formation and at first he thought they were a dozen aircraft with their landing lights on approaching the city. As they came closer the lights started blinking off and eventually they all disappeared." Source: www.filersfiles.com
This sighting was also reported by George Filer in the same issue of Filer's Files. "The witness reports that on July 11, 2001, at 5:45 PM driving south on Route 3 he noticed a white flash, as if something popped below the clouds ahead to my right at 2 o'clock. The flash didn't diminish, so it caught my interest. As it got closer I saw that there were no wings, so it wasn't a helicopter. I also observed a strange aura/trail around it similar to the heat that rises off a hot road. There were no sounds and the craft seemed also to have a slight wobble maybe caused by the aura, as it seemed to blur the outline. The object was silver and seemed to have black on it. The shape seemed to resemble a trash can or disc. It continued to approach, and passed overhead and I lost sight of it. Total time of sighting less than 7-8 seconds." Source: www.filersfiles.com
This was the date of the terrorist attacks and only military aircraft were in the air. At 9:00 PM, the witness noticed a star like object in the eastern sky. He ran home to get his video camera and his father. He said, "Upon return we were greeted by four others who were also observing the UFO over Short Beach. Upon zooming in with my Sony Digital 8 handy cam, I noticed an object that appeared to hover in the sky, but through my binoculars it seemed to dance all around. There were blue and red lights that were moving all around the craft. We then witnessed a splitting of a vessel into parts. One object's light began to move rapidly in a different pattern as if to be communicating with the other ship. One looked like fireworks, and then quickly disappeared, and reappeared to the left at a 45 degree angle. We then witnessed a triangle type formation with yet another craft. I have all sorts of video. Craft flew rapidly east and we then saw three fighter jets flying to and above these objects. Video footage played at slow motion shows intricate light patterns on one ship, with very bright lights in the center and almost force field like arcs moving from the center to the outer edges. Many witnesses stopped their vehicles to observe them. "

The witness stated, "A couple of friends and I were looking at the sky September 11, 2001, for any air traffic since there was only military traffic allowed. At 10:00 PM we saw two Air Force jets in single file heading toward Otis Air Force Base in Cape Cod. They were close together and in quite a hurry. A minute later, my friend pointed out a circular object orange in color moving at an enormous rate of speed across the open sky. It seemed to zigzag and dance as if it was intelligent, and then disappeared behind some trees. I've never seen anything as fast as this in mid air. About ten minutes later, a similar object came across the sky again from the east to southwest with the same speed and sporadic movement, and again disappeared behind some trees."
